At the heart of our mission lies the Aero Club of South Africa, a proactive force dedicated to championing, safeguarding, and upholding a wide spectrum of aviation sports and recreational activities throughout the nation. Harnessing the collective passion of our members, the Aero Club of South Africa operates with a clear set of central goals:

1. Safeguarding and Ensuring Preservation
2. Oversight and Administration
3. Promotion and Expansion of aviation sports and recreational pursuits.

The Airline Pilots’ Association of South Africa (ALPA-SA) had a small team of pilots trained to provide support after a critical incident. In 2011, Wendy Santilhano conceptualised a more holistic approach. She initiated a Peer-to-Peer programme that supports pilots not only after an accident or incident, but also through life crises.  The key benefit of the Peer-to-Peer concept is that, as pilots, the peers understand the unique stressors, terminology and operational environment of the colleagues that they assist.

The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) is charged with promoting, regulating and enforcing aviation legislation.

The Commercial Aviation Association of Southern Africa NPC (CAASA) is a non-profit organisation formed in 1944 to promote and protect the commercial interest of the general aviation industry in South African Aviation.
